So yeah, I can't sleep tonight. I've worked at the same hospital since December 1999 minus the year I was gone while living in Florida in 2010. I gave my two-week notice because I'm going to try my hand at being full-time self-employed. I'm to the point in my life where I want more freedom to travel. My kids are grown and self-sufficient. I've been thinking for years about what kind of job I can do while traveling the USA. I've found a few, so now I'm going to do it!
I'm scared to death, but so excited too! I made this blog so I can share my journey with you, the interested reader lol Maybe I can inspire someone to live their dream, or maybe I can just make someone laugh when they read of my delivery adventures. Maybe this will just serve as a way for me to remember my adventure after I get too old to travel and for my family to remember me when I'm gone.
I had this delivery the other day. Another driver accepted the guy's order but didn't pick it up for whatever reason so I got it next. When I got to the restaurant, they said the food hadn't been sitting long enough to have to be recooked. Um, OK. More bad news for the poor guy though, he was my second order on a double order so I had to delivery the other one first. When I finally got to his home, I of course apologized for all the mix ups he had. I opened my hot bag and wouldn't you know, one of his Red Lobster biscuits fell out of the bag. I offered it to him, but of course he refused it, telling me to just throw it away. By the time I left, he was at least smiling because I was empathizing with his bad luck, but you better believe I ate that biscuit! I was starving and those biscuits are the only thing I like at Red Lobster...SCORE!
And NO, I don't touch people's food. That's so gross to do that to people!
I don't know why it says I published that on April 8 at 10:40 pm. It's really April 9 at 1:40 am. I need you figure that out.
